Hotel Garden Istra Plava Laguna
Modern concept of lighting for a family hotel.
We design and implement lighting systems tailored to client needs. We propose and integrate solutions shaped by the actual demands of the space and the people who use it. We also maintain lighting systems—whether built by us or another partner.
We design and implement lighting systems tailored to client needs. We propose and integrate solutions shaped by the actual demands of the space and the people who use it. We also maintain lighting systems—whether built by us or another partner.

We look at projects from multiple perspectives, offering rational solutions that align with your needs, budget, and timeline. We build durable systems that are open to integration and easy to maintain. When challenges arise on site, we have practical solutions that keep work moving forward. Our people focus on where their knowledge and expertise make the biggest impact.
Services
We design lighting systems that operate efficiently from installation through regular use, with simple setup and low maintenance. They help create calm, comfortable spaces. Before we start designing them, we dig deep into requirements and needs, to make sure we have understood and aligned expectations. It is important for us to understand related systems that impact lighting, whether they are aesthetic or safety-oriented. We assign tasks in our team based on project size, always respecting deadlines and budgets. We consider communication a vital part of every successful project, so we work and communicate closely with architects, designers, electrical engineers, electricians, and other on-site contractors.
The lighting systems Syntera installs are open-standard, which means they can connect and communicate with other systems. They can transmit data to other systems that monitor processes in facilities (IoT). We use globally accepted standards like the DMX and DALI protocols. We avoid brand-specific systems. If we encounter closed systems already installed by others, we look for solutions to enable them to communicate or work together; this is one of our key strengths. Another important feature of our systems is modularity. It allows for easy repairs in the event of a malfunction, as well as system upgrades if at some point the client wants to implement newer technologies.
Emergency lighting systems are strictly regulated safety systems. Designing them is our expertise; we are well-versed in all standards and regulations. Because safety is their key role, emergency lighting systems are closed and generally less modular. In the design phase, parameterization—specifically the alignment of photometric characteristics, luminaire positioning, light output, and energy consumption—is crucial. The goal is to achieve maximum light output with minimal energy consumption. We perform system parameterization again during the programming and commissioning stages. At this step, we define how the system should function and which other systems it will communicate with. We have a track record of successful projects, always delivering a serious and professional approach—from initial design through to system commissioning.
Lighting control systems are implemented to achieve the following:
In sports facilities and recreational areas, smart lighting control systems can reduce energy consumption by up to 90 percent. In homes, hotels, and other buildings, they increase the value of the property.
While some types of lighting systems can be installed quickly and easily, others are technically more demanding. Syntera carefully monitors each project on site. We guide electricians that install lighting systems. We make sure that all technical instructions are followed during installation, which prevents repairs and interventions later on.
Before the implementation, we define requirements and help select lighting fixtures. In this process, we collaborate with architects, designers, and electrical engineers. We first define the desired outcome. Then we analyze the technical specifications of the fixtures, such as beam patterns, control systems, and light color. Thanks to a network of over 300 suppliers, we can find the ideal lighting fixture for any project—one that perfectly meets the space's requirements and the designer's vision. Syntera also works on projects in which entirely new, unique lighting fixtures are created. They are fully tailored to the client's wishes and the identity of the space in which they are installed
(such as those incorporating Istrian stone for the Valamar Pical Hotel).
Fine-tuning is important for the proper use and functioning of a lighting system. It is that final step of precise adjusting, which includes accurate aiming, programming, and tailoring the system to the space. Fine-tuning is very important in venues such as museums, churches, and sports facilities. In restaurants, precise lighting adjustments can create a superb visual impression and a welcoming atmosphere. It plays a key role in landscaping projects (gardens, parks, and residential grounds) as well; since the environment changes with the seasons, adjusting the lighting helps preserve the natural rhythm of the landscape. When lighting is fine-tuned precisely, it fulfills its intended purpose and justifies the investment. Although the process may seem abstract to some clients, communicating with Syntera helps them increasingly recognize its importance and the difference it makes in a space. Without fine-tuning, even the most expensive lighting cannot create a space that is both functional and pleasant to be in.
Maintaining lighting systems of all kinds is an important part of our business. We’ve been recognized as reliable partners that solve the most challenging technical demands. Our expertise is known among foreign lighting and security systems makers. They reach out to Syntera with trust.
There are two basic types of maintenance:
Maintenance by project type:
If we designed the solution and participated in all project stages, we take full responsibility for our systems. We look to keep maintenance costs as low as possible for the client. Our involvement begins well before the construction work is finished. Starting with the first equipment deliveries, Syntera will be on site and coordinate installation with contractors, to make sure it is done to the highest standards. Technical consulting and on-site support are a part of our process, vouching for the longevity and top functioning of lighting systems we have designed.
Our team will start by analysing how the system was built, so we could locate any issues and address them. This requires deep technical understanding, which Syntera has. We have a market reputation for being a partner able to address problems that others could not help with.
Relamping solutions are an integral part of our maintenance services. Relamping means moving
from old, oftentimes inefficient sources of light to new, energy-saving technologies. We approach the project in the same way as we approach lighting systems design. Whether it is an interior or outdoor, each space requires us to look at its specifics in detail, so that we could offer an adequate solution.
Depending on what the client needs, Syntera can develop:
Acoustic ceilings are an important part of modern spaces in which sound hygiene is taken care of. They are used in offices, halls, wellness areas, restaurants and other spaces where sound needs to be absorbed in order to reduce noise and echo. Sound waves spread just like light, i.e. they have similar physical characteristics. Owing to our expertise in lighting, we can easily understand sound waves, and we can develop and implement solutions involving them. In this area, we also offer full service, from design and sourcing to installation. In partnership with renowned manufacturers, we offer modular acoustic panels built from recycled materials such as PET bottles. These solutions adapt to spaces superbly, and they are sustainable and eco-friendly.
